- Set chia seeds aside (if you plan on using some)
- Blend the remaining ingredients until smooth
- Top with chia seeds
- Enjoy immediately
I absolutely love smoothies and this is my go-to smoothie recipe because I usually have all these items on stock and it’s super easy, fast & good. If you’d like, you could pre-freeze banana chunks or add ice which is what I love to do. I’m always running late for class in the morning so this is something I can easily make & drink while I’m driving to my 8am class. (Never again am I taking another 8am class) This recipe is so versatile. Any flavor or kind of yogurt and milk goes well with it! You could even use coconut water. Adding the chia seeds on top is a nice garnish and doesn’t affect the taste. I recently bought a bag of chia seeds and didn’t know what to do with it until I found out you can put them in smoothies for extra protein! I usually like adding more greens just to make the color greener to make it look healthier and get a shot of vegetables in the morning. Hope you guys like this post and my amateur photography & editing skills!

It’s nearing the end of the month so I wanted to share the songs that have been on repeat for the past few weeks. As you can see, so much of Taylor Swift is on this playlist, but that’s just because her 1989 album was released late last month & I received my pre-order earlier this month. So it’s literally all that I’ve been listening to in my car. My inspiration for my blog title was actually discovered this month: Somebody’s Baby – Jackson Browne, so that’s on here too! I really love old school music so you’ll be seen a lot of new discoveries of old music, particularly from the 80s on my monthly playlists. Enjoy!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope you guys are thankful for everything you’ve been blessed with in life and cherish what you have. Think of the things & people you have in your life and think about the people who don’t have them, even the littlest things. Some people don’t have clean water to drink, be grateful you do. (I’m pretty sure you have access to clean water if you’re able to read this via computer, tablet or phone…) And so, here’s a list of the top things I’m totally thankful for year round. 1. We Need To Live More: My 20th Year
Ella’s blog is pure inspiration for me, but for her 20th birthday she posted her goals & aspirations for the upcoming year and I loved the concept. Yes I do make yearly resolutions but these goals in particular made me open my mind to things I could do and accomplish this year in terms of life enrichment and moving forward in my life.
2. The Social Type
This is a website that makes and sells beautiful greeting cards, notepads, and other pretty stuff. The graphics & creativity used on these cards are really lovely and their collection is fun to browse through. This website inspired me for new designs and projects!
3. We Need To Live More: Humans Helping Humans
Another post from Ella’s blog! I love that she made a special post about one girl who is hard working and dedicated and aspires to go to college but is unable to financially. So Ella shares this girl’s fundraiser link and it really inspired me to help out the good people of the world as well as actually donate to this girl! Donating even a small amount felt really good because I knew that I helped someone get a step closer to their dream.
4. The Rules Revisited
The post that inspired me in particular is “Female Game For Girls in Their 20s”. What’s interesting about this blog is that it’s a male who writes it…though this post is pretty spot on. It is stuff every girl should know but it’s nice to have it on paper and in list form.
5. Clarke Griffin (from The 100)
Season 2 of The 100 just started and Clarke is one of my favorite characters because of her bravery and what she’s willing to do for her family and friends and she’s also a very good leader. She’s someone who I aspire to be like and to have her courage when the time is right if it’s ever needed.
I hope you guys like my inspirations for the month and can get inspired from them as well. Inspiration is everywhere, you just have to grasp it.
I spent the day with my mom & sister, and my mom out of the blue, wanted to check out our local thrift shop which is appropriately named “Hidden Treasures”. I was really happy with what I managed to find today!
1. What Does A Peace Corp Volunteer Do?
I’ve been wanting to travel the world and joining the peace corp was actually an option I was interested in but I never furthered my research. It was just an idea at the time. I thought this would be a good read if not to interest me more to joining, but to know how they contribute to the world.
2. The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Power Yoga
Yoga is something I’ve been wanting to get into and it’s kind of hard to just jump right in. I don’t know how or where to start. So maybe reading this book might help & inspire me as well.
3. Fun n Games
This looked like an interesting book just to have, just so I could come up with family games at family parties to have some family fun. I started going through it whilst in the car and the previous owner had even bookmarked a couple of their favorites.
I also found four lovely tin cans. I just loved the vintage look of these! I’m planning on using them to package Christmas cookies for friends! These are going to be so cool! I’m planning on looking for more before Christmas comes up to give more friends. I hope you guys enjoyed this simple thift shop haul!
so I’ve had my pixie cut for approximately 550 days and I love it. I love being different from other girls and each monthly haircut feels awesome because each cut is NEVER the same. But for the past few months I’ve contemplated cutting or growing my hair out, and each time it gets to the point of irritatingly too long for a pixie that I decide to cut it yet again. But I’ve decided that I want a new journey for my hair and so, for my 21st year, I’ve decided to grow it back out and give longer hair a second chance. now, watch me #struggle with the awkward phases that comes with growing out a pixie.
